Mediterranean or North African Kasbah / desert town—built from stacked, block-like forms. The buildings rise organically from the land, forming a rhythmic skyline of warm, vertical shapes. In the foreground, small human figures move across an open plain, giving scale and narrative without dominating the scene. This painting is an expressive landscape painting executed in a loose, gestural, semi-abstract style with strong palette-knife energy. This was done with Canvas And Panels' frame and stretch service. Commissioned by PepsiCo for their new UK offices, the brief was to represent their brands; Pepsi, 7Up, Doritos, Walkers, Lipton, Pipers & Quaker Oats in my own vibrant, imaginative style.
Painted over 8 days with the final black outline added live whilst staff were welcomed into their new office, I took inspiration from the shapes of the snacks and crisps, the packaging, ingredients and logotypes.
